Inspired by the passion, energy and creativity of founders, Aubrey enjoys advising companies throughout their lifecycle, from first-time founders to established companies. She also enjoys partnering with and guiding the venture capital firms and private equity funds similarly inspired by the emerging companies community.

Aubrey has counseled hundreds of companies at all stages and sizes, from throughout the United States as well as Europe and Africa. She advises companies in various industries on a range of corporate matters including in corporate formation and governance, debt and equity financings, contract review and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactional matters. Prior to joining VLP as Counsel, Aubrey worked at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliff in Menlo Park and Foley & Lardner in Chicago and Palo Alto.

Born and raised in California, Aubrey spent considerable time in the Chicago area, first to attend Northwestern University for her undergraduate degree, and later to attend the University of Chicago Law School and establish her law career before ultimately moving back to California.

Aubrey is especially interested in furthering women entrepreneurs and investors in the technology industry, as well as working with local animal organizations.

Aubrey lives in Menlo Park, California with her husband, two daughters and adopted dogs.
