Lauren Fouser

Lauren Fouser is Counsel in the firm’s corporate group and represents companies and investors in a variety of transactions, ranging from financings to mergers and acquisitions to strategic reorganizations. She advises companies on all aspects of the corporate lifecycle, from formation through exit. Lauren helps clients raise capital, think strategically about corporate growth, and engage in day-to-day corporate activities, including governance matters.

Clients engage Lauren to negotiate and draft corporate term sheets and to provide advice and counsel on transaction structures. She works with clients to find creative solutions and alternatives to meet their goals. Lauren frequently counsels both investors and emerging growth companies to think strategically about venture financings and various equity matters.

She has served as company counsel for clients in a variety of technology focused industries, including artificial intelligence, CPG, medical devices and technologies, SaaS, and hardware. Lauren works with business teams to draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts. She loves to collaborate with clients to find innovative and practical solutions.

Prior to joining VLP, Lauren was a corporate attorney at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, at Holland & Hart in Boise, Idaho, and at Jackson Walker in San Antonio, Texas.

Lauren graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University and cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. She grew up in Boise, Idaho, where she currently lives with her family, two dogs, and four chickens. She loves running, growing pumpkins, and biking and swimming with her kids.
