Jason Putnam Gordon is a dynamic, results-oriented emerging growth and venture capital attorney. Jason’s passion is providing entrepreneurs and executives with the information and counsel they need to successfully negotiate and document mission-critical agreements and financings.
In his practice, Jason regularly represents venture investors and companies throughout their lifecycle. His matters involve SAFE and convertible note financings, venture capital financings, strategic corporate relationships, corporate formations, complex mergers and acquisitions, sales, and divestitures. Jason’s clients have included emerging companies backed by the most prominent venture capital firms, as well as highly regarded venture capital firms themselves and strategic corporate venture capital arms of large corporations. He regularly works in a wide array of verticals including consumer goods, autonomous vehicles, climate tech, artificial intelligence, video games, software, hardware, HealthTech, MedTech, and agricultural technology.
Graduating magna cum laude in 2005 from the Villanova University School of Law, Jason initially clerked in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Upon completing his clerkship in 2007, Jason joined Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, Professional Corporation as an associate in Palo Alto, California. Since then, Jason has been in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, most recently as an Emerging Growth and Venture Capital Group partner at K&L Gates LLP in San Francisco.
Outside of the office, Jason has a passion for indoor bodyflight, reading, and spending time with his family.
