Teresa-Judith (TJ) is a Legal Specialist in matters relating to corporate formation, governance and financing. She is experienced in matters such as mergers & acquisitions, stock plan administration, issuance of securities and Federal and State securities research and filings.
TJ has successfully completed the Equity Compensation Associate (ECA) testing at the Certified Equity Professional Institute (CEPI) at Santa Clara University and is a Certified Carta Expert. Prior to joining VLP, TJ was the sole Corporate/Securities and Trademark Paralegal and Practice Manager at Blackgarden Law, a boutique transactional and IP law firm in Albuquerque, NM. Before moving to New Mexico, TJ was a Corporate Paralegal at the Silicon Valley office of Fenwick and West LLP, and has also worked as a Corporate Paralegal and Law Librarian at Thoits Law in Palo Alto, CA. In addition to working with biotech and Silicon Valley Startup clients, TJ has also worked with clients from the craft beverage industry, the entertainment sector, and the art community
